Job Introduction
The Radio Product Group in Future Media works alongside our radio networks (e.g. Radio 1, Radio 2 etc.)to deliver innovative and exciting online experiences around the best radio content in the world. The team is responsible for the radio network homepages (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1), music event sites (http://www.bbc.co.uk/events/efmhzc),the BBC’s online music offering (http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/)
We work in an agile environment, with several Scrum teams developing new features for release each sprint. Our goal is to develop imaginative and engaging new features for our product portfolio, delivering across multiple devices without compromising on quality, standards and accessibility, serving our 4m+ weekly unique audience and driving up audience reach.

Recently the team released BBC Playlister, an innovative new product that allows curation of tracks played across the BBC and to export those tracks to third party partners (e.g. Spotify, Youtube) to enable playback. We’re looking for an experienced Web Developer to join our team; a self-starter with the ability to take on a range of hard and intriguing challenges. You’ll be helping shape the technical implementation of our product, and ensuring what we produce meets the level of quality we aspire to. This is a great opportunity to help shape a team whose delivery will have a major influence in the industry sector, and be seen by a huge audience.

Role Responsibility
As an experienced Senior Web Developer you will be involved in defining and implementing a responsive design approach across all our pages, so you’ll need to be familiar with the key issues around making web pages responsive, and how to implement adaptive layouts in HTML5 and CSS3. High proficiency in PHP and MVC frameworks is essential.
