We are looking for a freelance Production Co-ordinator to plan and co-ordinate video & stills shoots.
This is an opportunity for a Production Co-ordinator to become a Producer. If you love the excitement of a shoot, if you thrive on taking charge, keeping things in order and making sure everyone is happy, then this is for you!

You will oversee and co-ordinate everything associated with shoots. You will be involved in the conceptualisation process of every shoot and be responsible for turning those concepts into a reality: you will be choosing the best locations, selecting the most appropriate models, finding the perfect wardrobe + props and doing anything else needed to make the shoot a success. Your resourcefulness to make things happen, an uplifting spirit in all circumstances and the ability to take control are essential to the final output of the shoot.

The job does also come with some administrative tasks, preparing the studio for shoots etc.

We need you to have great negotiating skills, be organised and logical, be able to find creative solutions to whatever problems comes your way, be eager to make stuff happen and happy to work alone or in a small team.
We’d prefer if you do have film/shoot shoot experience (in a producing/planning role)

Interviews will be held on 19th and 20th June. Shortlisted applicants will be given a small project to complete by the 25th June. You will be given a brief of 2 different proposed shoot ideas, 1 in studio and 1 on location. You will need to put a plan of action together, something that shows us how you would tackle the task of organising the shoots.

The successful candidate will be asked to work with us on a trial basis for 2 months (15 days per month), thereafter we can commit to a contract of 15 days per month minimum (20 days maximum) until March 2015. You will need to work some weekends.

Pay is £100/day

The Ideal Candidate
You will be an experienced journalist with a track record of delivering exclusive stories that lead programmes and are picked up by other media outlets. We are looking for an experiencedbroadcast journalist, with first class editorial judgment and great story telling ability.

EPG Listings Coordinator

We are looking for a EPG Listings Coordinator on a permanent basis to join the EPG team. The EPG Services department is part of the Sky Production Services division of Sky.

Sky Production Services (SPS) is responsible for the effective and efficient provision of a diverse range of pre and post-production functions, meeting the needs of Sky and third party channels.

In addition to providing a high quality of service supporting the operational demands and requirements for studio and other pre and post-production services and resources, the Sky Production Services function is also actively involved in forward planning the evolution of the provided services in anticipation of future requirements, and opportunities for greater effectiveness or efficiency.

EPG Services is responsible for ensuring that the schedule information displayed on the EPG (Sky’s TV guide) is accurate for Sky’s 10 million+ customers. EPG Listings Co-Ordinators check the TV and radio listings prior to the information appearing to Sky TV customers, ensuring the information is accurate and error free, resolving any issues before transmission by working closely with both broadcasters and schedule suppliers.

· Monitoring the supply of schedules and quality of data provided by channels and suppliers taking a proactive approach to resolve any recurring issues directly
· Identify where improvements can be made to the quality of data received and work with the supplier to implement enhancements
· Communicating with channels and suppliers promptly and clearly to resolve any issues found and improve the quality of data supplied

You will work within a team on a shift system, supporting content for our Breakfast and Drivetime programmes, alongside the hourly bulletin service. You will be expected to be proficient in a variety of roles, such as news reading, preparing pre-recorded packages, live interviews and two-way reporting on location. You may also be required to go out in the radio car. You will be making editorial decisions on breaking stories as well as generating your own original stories.
The Ideal Candidate
As an experienced broadcast journalist, you’ll have a track record of generating original stories; bags of ideas; creative treatments, first class writing skills and be comfortable working in a live broadcasting environment. You’ll need strong editorial judgement, news awareness, and experience of reporting. On-Air experience would be advantageous. You must have the ability to work within a team, as well as on your own.
