Channel 4 have opened their Production Training Scheme 2014.
Click here and head to Open4, an online learning platform which acts as a gateway enabling you to apply for one of 12 places on the award winning Production Training Scheme, which takes place every year. This scheme involves a 12 month paid placement at one of the independent production companies Channel 4 work with, a mentor and monthly training at at Channel 4. The placements within each independent production company vary in nature and may include roles such as researcher, production coordinator or technical assistant. Channel 4 are committed to promoting equal opportunities. In order to promote diversity in the media industry, and to address the under-representation of disabled people in particular, it is their hope to be able to fill 6 of the 12 available Production Training Scheme places with disabled applicants.
This scheme allows you to work with some amazing projects and more importantly, plenty of inspiring individuals. All of this can help you to build a great future and career in our industry. One trainee ended up being a director on Hollyoaks… Not bad eh!?
