Self-Shooters/Editors with Kit

Company Name
NextShoot

Description
NextShoot is a video production company that specializes in shooting video content for the Internet.

We produce high-quality business profiles, property tours, hotel and restaurant promotions and book & author profiles.

We have created a national network of filmmakers who shoot and edit video content for our clients. Our online platform gives our filmmakers the tools and information they need to make the videos (music, guidelines, release forms etc), and enables them to upload their finished films for sign-off.

The Projects

Over the past few months our London-based filmmakers have shot and edited over 3,500 videos for a leading UK listings company.

We are now looking to reinforce our network across the whole of the UK and Ireland.

Members of the network will be offered work shooting and editing a range of different video packages of varying lengths and styles, dependent on their experience and equipment.

What kind of filmmaker are we looking for?

We are looking to work with filmmakers with a wide range of production experience who can both shoot and edit - from seasoned professionals to recent graduates.

Some of our work requires no more than a suitable camera, tripod and editing equipment.

Other packages require the filmmaker to have sound equipment and the proven ability to direct an interview.

Some projects will need lighting and the skills that go with it.

This is the perfect opportunity for filmmakers with a variety of experience who want to work between other longer-term jobs and who enjoy taking control of the whole production process.

Equipment

You will need your own 3-chip camera, tripod, editing software and tape stock as minimum. (NB - no PD 150’s, 170’s, Canon XM1’s or anything resembling a handycam)

For basic video packages, no sound equipment is needed as you will lay copyright-cleared music onto the footage that you download from our website.

Filmmakers with sound equipment (radio mics) and with proven experience at interviewing contributors will have the chance to work on more advanced shoots.

Payment

Pay varies on the type of video package you produce. We try to batch a number of jobs together to make a full days filming and editing.

We raise an invoice for you at the end of every month.

Expenses

Typically we do not cover any expenses. Each filmmaker will need to provide their own 3-chip camera, tripod, editing software, tape stock, and sound equipment (if required). If the job is not local, then we will discuss travel expenses.

Timeframe

Sign up now - this is part of ongoing recruitment for work that we already have.

Hi little red, I've moved this to the Numpties section as the SWEAT board is for Minimum Wage regulation breakers and this wouldn't be that.

Just to explain that little red, anyone stupid enough to take this on is just that - stupid.

The bit I can't believe is that they even want you to pay for the tape stock.

NextShoot’s network is a nationwide resource of top quality filmmakers.

Our skilled professionals span the whole of the UK and Ireland, enabling us to shoot, edit and produce video for businesses in all regions, ensuring production coverage wherever our clients are. We currenly have over 800 filmmakers and 40 voiceover artists meeting the different requirements which the wide range of products we offer demand.

Our customers benefit from the depth and breadth of quality in our network, while our filmmakers enjoy being part of a dynamic community of industry professionals.

Bollocks.

Bollocks indeed.

This sounds a lot like one of those ads which popped up - here, I think - offering some totally paltry sum for an entire finished package. What's more if it's internet content I'd have thought a PD150 was more than adequate - in that case it's not so much the camera, more the operator that matters.

You need a 3ccd camera but not any of these 3ccd cameras because they're getting on a bit and that's not the impression we want to give despite our whole business being the production of internet content which when streamed will look like it was filmed on a fucking iphone anyway.
