Have a "competition", to make 5 films for their website for £1000:

This isn't a competition, it's a way to get cheap material for their website. £200 for each film, fuck off mate.

It's not just making the films AP, the selection process is more akin to a real world job and there's the additional day for 'candidates' to go on the guided tour of the factory before making the films.

There are two deadlines too - 25th May on the website, 15th May on the application form.

Allow me to disagree, (but in this case only.) - From the website
it appears that it's for film students only, and in that case I think
that the experience would be more beneficial to the student than
to the company.
From memory (and it was a very long time ago) the projects we
were given in college did not seem 'real.' I think this one would be
like pitching for a real corporate job - assessing the job, writing script,
pitching, shooting and editing.
And it would be very good to be able to show this when going for
a real job.

Fair point Splicer, they are going to get a marketing tool out of though - five videos for £200 each doesn't seem much. I guess the final arbiter will be how they are used.

And I suppose they won't be short of sandwiches whilst they're there.

AP spotted this one correctly from the beginning. In the end the students and independents were tossed out and they opted for production companies.
