Very good, AP. If you were to say that so eloquently and with such authority I should be very impressed indeed.

Seriously though, it's very good to see that the bulletin isn't the exclusive preserve of the witless ranters.

Sorry to bring this up, 4 months down the line, are we any closer to establishing some kind of cooperative agreement?

Only I see more and more confusion out there, and its coming from the hobbyists/first timers/students who are being indoctrinated into thinking its the norm not to pay people and then they are filming their feature/indie/music shoot without paying anyone and then joining a production house (Ltd. company) or setting up their own and doing it again and again. (....rant ends)

No, it's not a no. It's taken a union official a long and frustrating time to get the detailed and informed responses he needs to take it to the next stage, that's all. As it happens, I heard earlier this week that he may finally be getting somewhere.

"What that was all about" was an attempt to open a debate with the many indie filmmakers who don't know how the law applies to them, which it did. The fact that the majority appeared completely indifferent or actively hostile to embracing change (or simply complying with their legal obligations) is hardly the fault of anyone here.
